A year on, and we have now taken the decision to employ rigorous screening procedures when selecting carers to give people who use our service, total peace of mind. The company now employs a growing team of specialist care co-ordinators, customer service advisors and family support experts that provide a comprehensive and personal service ensuring everyone’s needs are met - large or small.

Founders of Kangaroo Carers:

Samantha Morris, the founder of Kangaroo Carers, qualified as a Social Worker in 1995 and continues to hold her registration in the UK. She has continued to practice in the field having established a recruitment & consultancy agency supplying social workers, nurses, youth workers and managers to the health and social care sector. Samantha continued with her studies and holds a PG Diploma in Advanced Social Work and a Diversity Trainers Award. Her parent company, Solutions Action Management, is registered and inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). She is a mum herself and has both a caring and supportive nature. Alongside being a mum and prior to establishing her business, she has worked in older people’s services particularly tailored to those with Alzheimer’s. Having run a residential EMI (Elderly Mentally Infirm) unit, she understands the practical needs for both the person with Alzheimer’s and the support that the family of those with elderly and dependent relatives require.

Karl Jefferies was previously a project manager for numerous housing corporations in the UK and is a skilled tradesman. He is an ex Royal Marine having spent many years serving his Country. He is very organised, a good leader and all round sports man. He is a problem solver and no job is too much. He is a father and by nature has a fun personality. He used to play for the WASPS rugby team. Karl also had a regular queue of young people signed up to his Sunday youth club.
